Check which platforms and OS versions Vylos supports, along with any feature differences across devices.
iOS
- Minimum version: 15.0
- Full feature set. iOS supports all Vylos features.
- QR code scanning for tunnel import.
- 10 app icon themes (the default plus 9 alternate themes).
- Home Screen quick actions.
- Jailbreak detection (when enabled via MDM).
- Cellular on-demand activation rules.
macOS
- Minimum version: 12.0
- Menu bar integration for quick tunnel access.
- Start at Login support.
- Ethernet on-demand activation rules (instead of cellular).
- QR code scanning is not available.
- Alternate app icons are not available.
- macOS 13 or later is recommended for the full navigation experience. macOS 12 uses a simpler fallback layout.
visionOS
- Minimum version: 1.0
- Full app lock support (Optic ID falls back to passcode, TOTP).
- Siri Shortcuts support.
- QR code scanning is not available.
- Alternate app icons are not available.
Feature Version Requirements
Some features require a minimum OS version beyond the app's base deployment target.

Bandwidth charts use a system charting feature available on iOS 16.0+, macOS 13.0+, and visionOS 1.0+. On earlier OS versions, bandwidth data is tracked but the chart visualization is replaced with an unavailable message.
Start at Login uses a system login-item feature available on macOS 13.0+. On macOS 12, this option is not shown in Settings.
Navigation
macOS 13.0 and later use a modern split-view navigation layout with a sidebar. macOS 12 uses a simpler stack-based layout without a sidebar. Core functionality is available on both, but the macOS 13+ experience provides a more modern navigation flow.
