Vylos on iPhone and iPad
Use the Vylos controls and integrations that are specific to iPhone and iPad.
Add a Tunnel
Tap Add Tunnel to import a .conf, .vylos, or .zip file, scan a WireGuard QR code, or create a tunnel manually. QR scanning uses the camera and asks you to name the tunnel before saving it.
See Getting Started for the first-tunnel flow or Import and Export Tunnels for every supported format.
Use iOS Network Features
iPhone and cellular-capable iPad models can activate a tunnel automatically on cellular data. Wi-Fi On-Demand rules can match any network, selected SSIDs, or every network except selected SSIDs.
Follow Set Up On-Demand to configure automatic activation. Ethernet rules remain visible for portable .vylos files but only activate on macOS.
Reach Tunnels Quickly
Long-press the Vylos Home Screen icon to reach up to four recently used user-created tunnels. You can also find a tunnel through Spotlight or control it through Siri and the Shortcuts app on iOS 16 or later.
Open Automate Vylos for the available actions and App Lock behavior.
Customize the App
iOS offers System, Light, and Dark appearance choices plus 10 app icon themes. Vylos follows the app-specific language selected in Settings → Vylos → Language.
Open Customize Vylos for all appearance, icon, and language options.
Preview Tunnel Files
The Files app can preview .conf, .vylos, and .zip tunnel files with the Vylos Quick Look extension. A ZIP preview may first show Apple's archive cover; choose Preview Content to open the complete Vylos summary.
See Preview Files with Quick Look for the exact steps and displayed metadata.
Manage Permissions and System Settings
Apple controls camera, notification, VPN, and per-app language permissions outside Vylos. If a feature remains unavailable after you enable it in Vylos, review the corresponding Vylos entry in the Settings app.
Organization-installed tunnels are read-only inside Vylos. Use Apple's VPN settings for manual control, or follow the policy your administrator supplied.
